Island Transportation
Anna Maria Island has a "free" trolley that runs every 20 minutes. Stops are covered and are located every 2-4 blocks on the route. The Monkey Bus is another option and will pick you up at your location. or explore driving a street legal Golf Cart. You can also access Uber and Lyft 24 hours a day, depending on the availability of drivers in your area at the time of your request.
Trolley
| The trolley begins at the Anna Maria City Pier on the north side of the island. The last of the routes 14 stops is Coquina Beach, located on Anna Maria`s south side on Bradenton Beach. The Trolley operates daily at no cost to riders from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. and visits each stop approximately every 20 minutes. Stops are covered and are located every 2-4 blocks along the route. They are wheelchair accessible and have bike racks on the front. Want to know where the trolley is in real time, how long it will be before it gets to your stop, or where the nearest trolley stop is? Download the myStop app select Manatee County, identify your trolley/bus route and stop in the app. Once your preferences are set to the AMI Trolley Route, a map of the island with the noted trolley stops and icons showing the current trolley locations will be displayed. Island, Cortez and beyond. There is no charge for their service; the bus drivers work for tips so bring some cash! It`s a fun local way to hop around the island with karaoke available on board! They also do tours and special events. |
