Dining

You will not find many chain eateries on Anna Maria Island, but you will find many local owned restaurants. Whether you are looking for a flip flop beach bar, or a black tie bistro you are sure to find cuisine for everyone! If you are a "fresh" seafood lover you need to check out the docks in the Cortez Fishing Village.

Cortez Fishing Village

Cortez Fishing Village

The Village of Cortez is one of the last small working coastal fishing villages in Florida; located right off Anna Maria Island across the Cortez Bridge. This village retains that Old Florida spirit throughout the streets with crab traps stacked and ready for the next fishing expedition. Cortez still has the same charm with a few modern amenities; beach bungalows, and cottages dating back to 1920 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Didn’t want to leave!

“My family of 5 loved this property! It was just as advertised. Pool was wonderful. Kitchen was well stocked. House was spacious where we all had plenty of space. 2 full baths were great. Bikes, beach chairs and beach cart were so helpful to have to use! We wanted to stay longer and will be back for sure in the future! Loved AMI!”
